Terms & Conditions

Gharelu Sathi is an online platform that connects customers with independent home-service professionals ("Partners") such as electricians, plumbers, cleaners and technicians. We provide the technology to discover, book and review services; the service itself is carried out by the Partner.

• You must be at least 18 years old and able to enter into a binding contract.
• Provide accurate and complete information while registering or booking, and keep it up to date.
• You are responsible for all activity under your account and for keeping your password and OTPs confidential.
• We may suspend or close accounts that provide false information or break these terms.

• A booking is confirmed once a Partner accepts it; you will be notified by SMS, WhatsApp, email or in-app.
• Please be available at the booked time and provide safe access to the work area.
• Prices shown are estimates based on the service selected. The final amount may change if the actual work differs from what was booked, and will be shared with you before extra work starts.
• Cost of spare parts or materials, if any, is charged separately unless stated otherwise.

Payment can be made by the methods available at the time of booking, including online payment and cash on completion of service. Taxes, where applicable, are included or shown separately. Please do not pay a Partner anything outside of the amount agreed for the booked service.

• You can reschedule or cancel a booking before the Partner is on the way; early requests are free of charge.
• Last-minute cancellations, or a customer being unavailable at the booked time, may attract a visit charge.
• If a Partner cancels or does not arrive, we will help you reschedule or arrange another Partner.
• Eligible refunds are returned to the original payment method within a reasonable time after approval.

Partners are independent professionals and not employees of Gharelu Sathi. A Partner agrees to:

• Provide accurate identity and skill details and complete verification.
• Deliver services professionally, on time and as described.
• Treat customers and their property with respect and follow safety practices.
• Not take bookings or payments outside the platform to avoid platform fees.

We may deactivate Partners who receive repeated complaints or violate these terms.

When using the platform you agree not to:

• Use the service for any unlawful, fraudulent or abusive purpose.
• Harass, threaten or mislead Partners, customers or our staff.
• Post false or misleading reviews, or attempt to manipulate ratings.
• Copy, scrape, disrupt or try to gain unauthorised access to the website, app or other users' data.

Many services carry a service warranty for the period stated at booking. If you are not satisfied with a completed job, raise a complaint from your dashboard within the warranty period and we will work with the Partner towards a re-service or suitable resolution. Warranty does not cover damage caused by misuse, third-party tampering or unrelated faults.

We act as an intermediary between customers and Partners. To the fullest extent permitted by law, Gharelu Sathi is not liable for indirect or consequential losses, or for loss or damage arising from the work carried out by a Partner, beyond the amount you paid for the affected booking. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be excluded by law.

All content on this website and app - including the name, logo, text, graphics and software - belongs to Gharelu Sathi or its licensors and may not be copied or used without our written permission.

We may update these terms from time to time. The updated version will be posted here with a new "Last updated" date, and continued use of our services means you accept the changes. These terms are governed by the laws of India, and courts in India will have jurisdiction over any dispute.
